Two terminating resistor connectors are required on each NMEA 2000 network, one at each end of the trunk line. Like the double-terminated cord set, the waterproof-designed terminator connector continues to function even when submerged in a bilge.
7/8 terminating resistor connectors are connected to both ends of the backbone cable to reduce reflections of communication signals in the network. If you do not use terminating resistor connectors, the network will not operate correctly. Usually the terminating resistor is connected directly to a T-connector on the trunk line, but it can also be connected to a line group extending from the T-connector. Coaxial terminating resistor connectors can also be used, which are used to terminate the network at a product.
The NEMEA2000 communication protocol standard of the American Marine Electronics Association is applicable to the fields of ship sensors, navigation and display devices. It is compatible with the CAN-BUS controller LAN communication protocol standard of automobiles and internal combustion engines. NEMA2000 series connectors mainly develop 7/8-inch Mini 5-core connectors for thick cables (18AWG) and M12 5-core connectors for thin cables (24AWG). The connector wiring is a standard ODVADeviceNet structure, that is (2C Power cord + 1 pair of signal twisted wires + AL aluminum foil + ground wire + braiding), there are two types of wire insulation options: TPU and PVC. The default color is black, gray or purple RAL4001. The design and development of the entire product considers cold resistance, high temperature resistance, Water and alkali resistance, oil resistance, corrosion resistance, UV resistance, wear resistance, plug-in resistance and other strict application environment requirements.
